The winning article discusses the equipment, systems and processes needed to setup a paperless office. Amerivest Realty offices are paperless in the way the accept listing and sales contracts from their associates. All documents are processed electronically and stored in their password protected intranet client database system.

Seller's Advantage Program Released

Amerivest Realty announced that it has officially rolled out it’s new “Seller’s Advantage” Program, designed to give Seller’s the best possible chance to sell their property.

The program starts with a comprehensive CMA tool. This assists Amerivest Realty independent agents with the preparation of an accurate market analysis report which is then supplied to a seller when deciding on the offering price. These reports range from 20 to 50 pages of in depth market statistics and home selling information.

The balance of the program is dedicated to marketing the home, especially it’s multi-media technologies. After uploading a few still shots and entering some simple text, a complete set of multi-media marketing materials about the property are created instantly, including:

Narrated eTour: A professional voice over describing the property and it’s amenities is heard with background music, while photos of the property are displayed. Complete with mapping and email functions, flyer download and more.

Narrated Video: A matching narrated video is created and uploaded to Google for added exposure. The video then appears embedded on the listings detail page on Amerivest Realty market area web sites to enhance the consumers experience.

Web Casting: Agents can group properties together with a personal bio and area information to create a complete webcast that they can post for visitors to their Amerivest Realty agent website.

Flyers & CDs: A flyer is also available as a .PDF for emailing or printing. In addition, all the properties multi-media presentations can be downloaded to a CD with a custom label for distribution.

Finally, the narration is used for a “Toll Free” call tracking system. Agents assign property codes for each marketing venue and can track the activity from each.

Joe Ballarino is not one to sit on the sidelines. He gives back to his profession and the community. For all that he does, Ballarino was named the 2005 Realtor of the Year on Saturday night by the Naples Area Board of Realtors. He received the award during NABOR’s Annual Night of Honors held at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.

“Those honored are very deserving,” said Jo Carter, NABOR’s president. The theme for the event, which takes a year to organize, was “The Pride of Ownership.” It attracted a crowd of about 250.“It’s our biggest night of the year to honor our board members that have participated,” said Penny Wilson, a marketing representative for Midwest Title in Naples and chairwoman of this year’s event. “Most people do not get paid to do this. It’s all volunteer.”

For the past three years, Carter has nominated Ballarino, a former NABOR president and president and CEO of Amerivest Realty in Naples, for the Realtor of the Year award. The honor — the highest given out by NABOR — recognizes Realtors who have helped shape the profession. “He’s served in so many areas the members of NABOR, always with a smile. He’s always willing to help,” Carter said.

The Realtor of the Year winner was kept secret until Saturday night. “It’s fabulous,” a shocked Ballarino, 42, said after receiving the award. “It’s by far the highest honor I could get.” The award, he said, is extra special coming from NABOR. “I keep trying to give more,” he said. “I seem to get more back every time.”

During his presidency, Ballarino spearheaded the development of NABOR’s first leadership training program and set the stage for the association’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity. Under his rein, NABOR was the first to donate to a political action committee working to save the Naples Zoo and it gave $10,000 to a disaster relief fund to help victims of Hurricane Charley.

Over the years, Ballarino has served on numerous NABOR committees, including budget and finance, intranet, logo and multiple listing service, or MLS. He has been instrumental in revising MLS rules and in the design of http://www.naplesarea.com/, NABOR’s official Web site. He helped develop the SunshineMLS, a computerized multiple listing service for Naples and Bonita Springs. Ballarino also has been active in the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Naples Office Adds 200th Agent!

Set as a goal for 2005 and achieved with a month to go, the Naples office of Amerivest Realty announced the addition of the 200th agent/client. The office, opened in the fall of 1998, has never merged or acquired any other brokerage. Each client was added one at a time, based on the value Amerivest Realty can provide its independent contractor/members. It’s a real confirmation of the success of our business plan, especially since we don’t penalize agents if they want to leave the company. There is no one with Amerivest Realty who doesn’t want to be there. This is especially important in maintaining a very positive attitude and air about our company.

The Naples office is now poised to become the leader in the Naples market as it’s planning a second 12,000 SF facility in the heart of Old Naples.
